Staring Down a Nasty Economy: “Summon Your Animal Spirits”

It always feels good to start off the work week with a Steelers victory in your back pocket, but the reality of building a business or running an organization can be quite sobering in the current economic climate. Over the weekend, Pittsburgh Technology Council President and CEO Audrey Russo forwarded an inspiring manifesto from Harvard Business Publishing.

The manifesto asks the reader to draw a line in their behavior toward the recession. It says you can either go with the downturn flow and add to the uncertainty by cutting back, or stare the economy down and use it as a time for innovation and change.

Summon your “Animal Spirits” and see what William C. Taylor has to say about it!
