There’s no better way to ring in a “safe” new year than to rid of old used computers that pose a security nightmare if stolen. Sponsored by CSI Leasing, Advanticom, Inc., Bank of America and A greenSpan Computer Recycling, Green Days in Pittsburgh, January 19 – 23, will provide onsite data eradication and e-scrap recycling services.
Advanticom is inviting all of its clients to participate in ridding of their old equipment — outdated hard drives, PCs, tapes and cell phones. “It today’s IT world, when security is a major factor for business survival, it is important to know that your equipment will be recycled responsibly and with compliant disposal solutions,” said Brian Conboy, president of Advanticom.

During Green Days, companies can schedule CSI Leasing to come to their location where onsite data eradication and e-scrap recycling will take place. Their new Data Destruction & Recycling Vehicle (DDRV) is the nation’s top solution for onsite destruction. The 26-foot box truck is equipped with a shredder for all media destruction which includes hard drives two inches in thickness, tapes, cell phones, etc. Hard drives are counted, and serial numbers are recorded into databases; certificate of destruction with total weight is recorded and provided to the client. “At CSI Leasing, we take great pride in our partnership with the Basel Action Network, and we are one of the few certified and ethical recyclers in the U.S.,” said Joe Delbusso, Area Director. “We maintain a strict Zero-Landfill, Zero-Export policy.”
Onsite Data Destruction costs are minimal, $9 per drive shredded and $5 per cell phone — with full serial reporting. Tapes, CDs, floppies, etc. are $1 per pound.
