If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council would like to honor your best work on June 1, 2009 as they present The Work of Art Awards. This event is designed to celebrate exemplary behind-the-scenes management and business practices that support artistic creation and presentation in the Pittsburgh region, showcase the quality and diversity of artistic expression in our region, recognize outstanding support of the arts, and promote connection of arts and culture to the larger community.
The nomination form for The 2009 Work of Art Awards is available for download on our website. Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:
- Creative Arts and Business Partnership
- Arts & Technology*
- Best Practices in Arts Management
- Working Artist
- Excellence in Arts Education
- Public Art
Nominations are due in the offices of the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council by Friday, February 13, 2009. A list of winners from the 2007 event is available here. If you have any questions about The Work of Art Awards or the nomination process, please call our offices at 412.391.2060.
