GENCO Pharmaceutical Services Receives HDMA Runner-up IBusiness Solution Award

GENCO Pharmaceutical Services (GPS), a GENCO Supply Chain Solutions company,  received the Healthcare Distribution Management Associate’s (HDMA) Service Provider Runner-up iBusiness Solution Award at the HDMA Distribution Management and Technology Expo for its innovative application of RFID technology in the processing Schedule II drugs.

HDMA iBusiness Solution Awards have honored forward-thinking companies since 1987. These prestigious awards recognize HDMA members for technology-enabled process improvements in the healthcare industry. GPS was nominated by Cephalon. Winners are chosen by members of HDMA’s Industry Relations Council based on criteria that includes: value from productivity gains, new or expanded market access, new services to existing customers, improved customer service or satisfaction, eliminating time/costs in the supply chain and innovative use of technology.

“We are extremely honored to receive this award from HDMA and to be nominated by Cephalon, one of the world’s top ten biopharmaceutical companies,” said Larry Hruska, president of GENCO Pharmaceutical Services. “It’s through our teammates’ commitment to implementing innovative technology, improving processes and delivering initial and ongoing value that makes our success possible.”
