The 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award winners were announced Friday night and Techburgher was there cheering everyone on. We were super stoked to see so many Council member companies nab top honors. In fact, our members won seven out of the 10 categories.
Twenty-five entrepreneurs from western Pennsylvania, upstate New York and West Virginia were finalists in the program.
Council winners included:
- Health sciences category: Carol Wright, Wright Therapy Products
- Defense and security category: Patrick McGregor Jr., BitArmor Systems Inc.
- Education category: Jessica Trybus, Etcetera Edutainment
- Technology, sales and services category: Michael Stratos, Ideal Integrations
- Master category: Carlos Cardoso, Kennametal Inc.
- Supporter of entrepreneurship: Ann Dugan, Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence
- Technology category: Jon Hammock, KeyLogic Systems Inc.
The other winners included:
- Professional services category: Amy Hancock, AdvantageCare Rehabilitation Inc.
- Industrial and commercial services category: Scott Kiger, SDI LLC
- Entrepreneur scholar of the year: Steve Suchora, Test Tech Inc.
