GSP Consulting Names John M. Swiatek Director, Sports, Entertainment and Marketing

GSP Consulting appointed John M. Swiatek as Director of GSP’s newly-formed service offering, Sports, Entertainment and Marketing. 

Swiatek will lead GSP’s Sports, Entertainment and Marketing team by providing clients with a comprehensive approach to a variety of service offerings such as project development, management, marketing and sales, and financial analysis.  Services range from market assessments, project feasibilities, site selections, master plans, business plan development, operating pro formas, branding, marketing and communications, naming rights and sponsorship sales, customer service, concert and event planning, and more.

Swiatek brings more than 25 years of leadership and senior management experience in the sports, entertainment, racing and gaming industries to GSP.  Most recently, Swiatek served as President and Managing Partner of the Washington Wild Things, Western Pennsylvania’s newest minor league professional baseball team.  Under Swiatek’s leadership, the team was named the Frontier League’s “Organization of the Year” three times and made the playoffs six of seven years.  In 2008, the organization received the “Exceptional Community Commitment Award,” given for dedication to community service, from the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to the Washington Wild Things, Swiatek served in various senior management positions, including President/COO of Ladbroke/USA, a division of London-based Hilton Group PLC hospitality, racing and gaming operations.  He has significant expertise in mergers and acquisitions, related systems integration, e-commerce and other state-of-the-art technologies, business development, operations, finance, marketing, strategic planning, government relations, construction, management development and customer service training.
