GENCO, North America’s second-largest and a Global Top 50 third-party logistics provider, is expanding its reverse logistics solution to include test, remanufacture, repair and refurbishment of consumer electronics and IT equipment. The company also named Bert Munnikhuis, senior vice president and general manager to lead this new initiative to maximize margin recovery. Munnikhuis will be responsible for strategy, business development and operations management, focusing on consumer electronics and IT manufacturers and retailers.
“GENCO’s world leadership position in reverse logistics coupled with our industry leading R-Log®software is the “gold standard” for returns management,” said Tom Perry, GENCO’s president of Reverse Logistics. “This expansion of our reverse logistics service offering and alignment with strategic test/repair/refurb partners now provides customers with the industry’s only integrated margin recovery solution and demonstrates our commitment to provide initial and ongoing value.”
Munnikhuis brings a load of experience in the high tech industry, including warranty, aftermarket and reverse logistics services. Just prior to joining GENCO, he served as vice president, Program Management, Global Services for Solectron (now Flextronics) managing the interface between customers and the operational entities tasked with contract execution. Prior to Solectron, he was executive vice president, Business Development (Americas) for Teleplan International, a supplier of in-warranty services to major OEMs and product marketing firms in the consumer electronic and IT industry.
