So this is pretty exciting stuff. A 27-foot RV complete with a karaoke machine and stage is stopping by the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s headquarters (2000 Technology Drive, 15219) this Saturday (7/25) at 7:30 p.m. as part of a cross-country social media tour now known as “Whuff-aoke or Bust.”
Social media expert and author Tara Hunt brought Whuff-aoke or Bust to life this summer. And, the friendly folks at EBSQ along with Pittsburgh’s growing throng of bloggers and social media geniuses brought the tour to Pittsburgh.
According to Tara, who just released her book “The Whuffie Factor,” the plan is to “stop at 13 cities and have a meetup with karaoke, book signings, awesome conversations and a great deal of fun.” Tara and her crew are working on getting every second of the trip livestreamed (from the cab and the karaoke stage) and totally interactive on the web as well as at the stops. They’ll be tweeting, blogging, uploading photos and getting all sorts of press along the way.
The Council is stoked to have the tour drop its chocks at its offices. Be sure to stop by!
