RedZone acquires ICOMMM, creates technology bundle aimed at preserving aging wastewater infrastructure

This just in fresh off the grill…RedZone® Robotics, Inc., an industry leader in the field of wastewater inspection technologies and ICOMMM, Inc., an innovative provider of wastewater asset management decision support systems, today announced that the companies have signed a definitive agreement under which RedZone Robotics has acquired privately held ICOMMM (based in San Ramon, CA).

Wastewater asset management is of critical environmental importance.  Reliable and efficient information management is the key to optimizing maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and replacement decisions for wastewater assets.  Problems arising from the aging state of the world’s wastewater infrastructure are compounded by the fact that the information currently available to asset managers is often insufficient.  An additional concern is the limited accessibility of this information which typically resides in multiple, disparate systems.

“People who own or manage wastewater infrastructure have a difficult job and are frequently in reactive modes of operation.  They are responsible for an abundance of valuable, buried infrastructure that is difficult to assess.  Additionally, their strategic planning is constrained by limited time, people, budget and technologies.  By combining the RedZone’s world class inspection technologies with the industry’s leading decision support system from ICOMMM, we can deliver the most useful information required for true asset management, which should, in turn, allow asset managers to become more proactive in their approach and save a significant amount of money.” said RedZone Robotics President and CEO Eric Close.

Steve Line, ICOMMM President and CEO added, “There are substantial long-term strategic customer advantages in combining the products of these two companies.  RedZone compiles the most accurate and complete inspection data with their robotic solutions and our systems are designed to take that information and facilitate critical asset management processes.  These include condition and criticality assessments, order generation, and bid package management all through an integrated Geographical Information System (GIS).  The combination of our two companies addresses a constant technical challenge that municipal infrastructure managers face when integrating critical asset information.  Our combined solutions will reduce the costs of managing infrastructure with fewer disruptions.  All of the benefits are enabled without the traditionally burdensome compatibility, cost and resource requirements of similar solutions.”

RJLG Launches New Service for Laboratory Clients

RJ Lee Group, Inc. (RJLG) has recently announced the launch of its latest innovation, RJLG connect. Powered by RJLG’s  own eLIMS (Enterprise Laboratory Information Management System), this service creates a link (or builds a bridge) between customers and the lab, thereby enhancing the customer experience by improving their access to project data.
At the direction of client services and laboratory operations, RJLG connect was created as an online system that automates and streamlines parts of the sample analysis process.  This service eliminates the repetitive, manual work involved in entering, submitting, reviewing, and paying for sample result information.
