Buyers can also search for all homes in that specific neighborhood, town, or zip code, and even receive open house and price change alerts, among other advanced search options. The service works on any phone with text messaging capabilities. In addition, phones with internet-connectivity will be able to view photo galleries of listings, on a new mobile version of the company’s website, PittsburghMoves.com, optimized for use on cell phones.
The inspiration for this custom technology was to make the home buying process “more pleasurable and hassle-free,” said Ty Morse, president of Songwhale. “During the home search, buyers often ask what else is available in the neighborhood, and often that means going back to the sales office to check the computer. Now that answer will be just a few clicks away.”
