Vivisimo, a leader in enterprise search, today announced that the Obama Administration has invited Vivisimo’s cofounder and executive chairman, Raul Valdes-Perez, to participate on the Forum on Jobs and Economic Growth on Thursday, December 3rd at The White House.
The forum, announced in November, will be an opportunity for the President and the economic team to hear from some of the best and brightest CEOs, small business owners, and financial experts about ideas for continuing to grow the economy and put Americans back to work.
“It’s an honor to be invited to such an important event in our time and be in the company of so many bright minds sharing the same goal,” said Valdes-Perez. “We face a tremendous challenge of getting the economy back on track but with fresh ideas and an open mind, I am confident we can collectively make a difference. I am grateful for the opportunity to play a role in changing the tide of employment and look forward to an historic event.”
Dr. Valdes-Perez served as Vivisimo’s CEO since co-founding it in June 2000 until June 2009, when he became executive chairman of its board of directors. During his tenure as CEO, he received several awards and honors for his work and contributions to enterprise search, including a 2007 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (North Central Region). Over his career, he has been the recipient of seven research grants from the National Science Foundation.
