Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is pleased to announce that for the ninth consecutive year, it has been named as one of the “100 Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania.” Final rankings were announced and companies were honored at an awards ceremony on December 1, 2009 in Hershey, PA. CTC ranked 17th in the large-sized company category. Of CTC’s more than 1,400 employees nationwide, more than half work in Pennsylvania locations in Johnstown, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh.
“We are really excited to be on the Best Places to Work in PA list once again and that we moved up in the rankings. Only three companies, including CTC, have ever made the list for nine consecutive years,” said Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., CTC’s President & Chief Executive Officer. “Our exceptional employees are the primary reason why CTC has continued to expand and grow,” added Sheehan. “The majority of the ranking and evaluation grade is based on employee feedback, and I am proud that our employees feel that CTC is such a great company.”
The Best Places to Work in PA survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. The list is comprised of 100 companies divided into two groups: 50 medium-sized companies (25-250 employees) and 50 large-sized companies (251+ employees).
CTC truly wants each employee to be their personal best. The company provides continuous learning opportunities and promotes healthy lifestyles through a unique wellness program. CTC also goes above and beyond to support those with military commitments. In 2009, CTC received two awards from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). One of the awards, the Patriot Award, is presented to companies that support and accommodate the needs of employees that are members of the National Guard and Reserve. The Patriot Award is another honor awarded to CTC based on employee feedback; CTC was nominated by an employee who was deployed to Iraq.
